Stovetop Mac & Cheese
Ingredients
- ½ lb Macaroni (or another breed of pasta if you feel like being a rebel)
- Sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- Parmesan cheese
- 1 ½ Cups Milk
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
1) Cook the pasta according to the box directions
2) While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan on low heat. When the butter has melted, turn the heat up to medium and add the flour. Whisk constantly for around 1 minute to combine, creating a roux. If the roux fails to thicken, add some more flour.
3) Slowly add the milk to the roux a little at a time. Once all the milk has been added, simmer for a few minutes, whisking occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
4) Turn the heat down to low and add in two generous handfuls of cheddar and one generous handful of mozzarella. Whisk until fully combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper, plus a dash of paprika.
5) Once the pasta has been cooked and drained, return it to the pasta pot and combine it with the cheese sauce. Grate a liberal amount of Parmesan over top and stir to combine once more.
The result, when stirred, should make a noise roughly equivilant to what good pussy sounds like.
